Find the correct weight loss and abdominal muscle fitness program for you

The Truth About AbsFinding an effective weight loss program that focuses on the abdominal muscles and that unsightly belly fat is quite difficult, as there are just so many weight loss products and fitness regimes on the market today. Your best bet to start short listing the candidates is finding an author that is trustworthy, and then checking the top ranked fitness courses. In this space, The Truth About Abs is currently the top ranked weight loss program, authored by a certified specialist in fitness training and nutrition that will help all individuals fast track the loss of belly fat. The program focuses on developing the abdominal muscles and keeping your overall body in tip top shape. The course does not advocate the usual cardio exercise regime, nor does it propose that you do countless sit ups or exercises that are specifically focused on the abdominal area. The reason for this is that the author believes that to truly lose fat, you need to increase the body’s metabolic rate for extended periods of time. Cardio exercises only increase this metabolic rate for a short period of time, thus negating any true benefits. With a full body workout, you are literally forcing the body to burn further calories way after your workout has stopped, thus burning fat faster than usual exercise programs.

Creating your own diet and meal plan

Meal planA number of diets do not allow you to eat delicious and flavourful food, and that is the main reason people stop the program as the food tastes dull and unappetising. Also, the main reason a diet or eating plan is not effective is that people stick so rigidly to the foods as detailed within the plan that they do not allow for variety and choice. Obviously, a diet or eating plan that has little or no variety soon becomes monotonous and bland, and then people start losing interest and soon dispense with the plan or deviate from it so substantially that they are eating the incorrect foods. Another reason that most eating plans are not effective is that these eating plans are created fairly generically in nature, and do not differentiate between the different metabolic types that abound. Each person has his own metabolic type, and you should create an eating plan or diet that aligns to this metabolic type. The diet solution is a dieting and eating plan that understands this issue, and the main chapters are geared towards finding out your metabolic type, and then detailing the foods that are appropriate for that metabolic type. Obviously some foods are good for some types, and the same foods would be harmful to a different metabolic type.

5 strength training tips that will ensure better fat loss response

Fat loss secretsMost strength training experts recommend a set of principles to ensure that individuals create a heightened fat loss response in the body. The first principle is the use of compound movements. Therefore, if you are strength training, the bulk of your workout should be made up of compound movements. This will ensure that your metabolism is raised sufficient to ensure rapid fat loss. The next principle is that of body programming. You need to ensure that your exercise program is designed for you, and should not just replicate any old fat burning programme. These programme should be tailored to the individual. Using short rest periods is also recommended for better fat loss response. Short rest periods will induce your body to produce higher levels of blood lactate, which will naturally result in an increase in circulating growth hormone, which ultimately lead to a greater fat loss. The fourth principle is that of heightened intensity. In order to shed body fat, your body needs to be taken to a heightened intensity level, thus creating the environment for fat burning. Lastly, weight loss and strength training experts recommend that you alternate your set scheme. To ensure rapid fat loss, you need to alternate between compound sets, tri-sets and even the usual supersets, as this will ensure the body is continuously losing body fat and not simply working on a single set of muscles. By following these five principles in your strength exercise regime, you are sure to increase your body’s fat loss response system.

Can a blood test to measure Telomeres determine your aging profile?

Anti aging serumIn the latest anti-aging news, it has been established that telomere length can actually determine the aging profile of an individual. As a basic concept, a telomere is simply a region of repetitive DNA sequences at the end of a chromosome. This repetitive sequence usually aids in the protection of the end of the chromosomes from deterioration. Telomeres also ensure that chromosomes do not fuse with other neighboring chromosomes. All this is extremely scientific, but what it really means is that the size and length of the telomeres can actually determine how quickly or how slowly your body will deteriorate with age. Based on the length of the telomere, researchers and doctors can now more accurately determine what they term an individual’s aging profile. Obviously telomeres alone do not contribute to the aging profile of an individual, but they do give a pretty good indication of it. Now, the latest news in the anti aging world is that a blood test has been made available that will be able to determine the exact length of the telomeres. The test will initially be made available in the UK, and later be taken to the US. However, initially the cost of the test is fairly prohibitive, running at over $750 per test. Based on the results of the test, doctors would be able to advise you whether you are aging appropriately, or are at risk of accelerated aging due to other circumstances or environmental factors.

The various methods of intermittent fasting

Intermittent fasting dietAlthough intermittent fasting as a concept has been around for a very long time, the commercialisation of the concept in the dieting fraternity has only been fairly recent. In spite of this, there are numerous different variations of how to undertake an intermittent fasting diet. The two most basic and most frequently used variations of the intermittent fasting diet include a daily fasting diet, and the alternate day fasting method. With regards to the daily fasting diet, the dieter is allowed to eat once every 20 to 28 hours within every 4 hour period. With regards to the alternate day fasting method, the dieter is required to fast for 1 to 3 times per week. In this method, the dieter is allowed to eat whatever they please on the day they are allowed to eat. On the fasting day, they are not allowed to eat anything, but are allowed to drink as much water as they require. Studies have proven that intermittent fasting has numerous beneficial effects, including reduced insulin levels, increased resistance of neurons in the brain to excitotoxic stress, and even reduced levels of serum glucose. Another study showed that asthma patients who fasted had fewer symptoms, better airway function and a decrease in the markers of inflammation in the blood than those who didn’t fast. Although researchers have conducted these studies on intermittent fasting, it is always best to consult your health practitioner before undertaking any dieting approach or change in your eating pattern.
